Senior Manager of Deal Analytics and Pricing Strategy

Cox Automotive is hiring a Senior Manager of Deal Analytics and Pricing Strategy. The Senior Manager of Deal Analytics and Pricing Strategy will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and analyzing pricing models to support the development of pricing strategies and pricing decisions across the organization (Media, Inventory, and Retail Solution groups). In addition, this role is responsible for monitoring of deal economics, developing a reporting system to ensure deal compliance, and development of pricing strategies to optimize value for the EDP and GES client groups.  The role supports the Director, Deal & Pricing Strategy with price optimization by client group and is the primary interface with FP&A for deal analytics and reporting.


  • Supervise and lead all the Managers and Senior Analysts within the Deal desk Analytics & Pricing Group
  • Maintain and evolve the deal database, inclusive of the product master, client master, and contract history; align with Business Units to ensure that the database is current
  • Lead and influence cross-Cox deals – perform analytics when a cross-Cox deal arises
  • Partner with the Director, Deal & Pricing Strategy to build out deeper analytics on deal approvals, deal yields, price realization on all products; report out on Deal Desk KPIs on a monthly basis 
  • Develop monthly rebate compliance and realization reports for use by FP&A
  • Enable and facilitate product pricing reviews, on a quarterly basis
  • Refresh OBIEE and Business Unit transaction data to update realization curves, on a quarterly (or semiannual) basis
  • Lead development of the Pricing Engine (depending on funding)

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent is required; an advanced degree (MBA) is required.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in value analytics required.

Quantitative experience required.

Management experience in a complex organization, with a proven track record of positive results required.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required.


Senior Director of Value Analytics and Insights

The Senior Director of Value Analytics and Insights will be responsible for leading the team that develops implements and manages analytics and insights. Use analytics to drive actionable insights at scale and apply insights to support Go-to-Market Strategy with enterprise clients (reactive and proactive).


  • Support GES & EDP value strategy teams Establish and rollout a structure for an Enterprise Consulting Model to drive  integrated CAI approach within core, adjacency, and transformational insights and solutions for our clients
  • Employ data-driven insights to target specific opportunities by working with the Client Success Organization and guide the go-to-market strategy
  • Establish and develop strong relationships / alignment with the Client Success and the solution groups strategy and consulting teams to advance CAI vision and goals for EDP and GES 
  • Build and own the Cox Automotive value proposition models for Enterprise clients
  • Own the development of robust opportunity sizing and identification models for clients; leverage these models to conduct consultative discussions with sales to hone in on specific client opportunities 
  • Foster strategic thinking and build a ‘Point-of-View’ regarding growth opportunities, best practices and trends across our Enterprise client base
  • Develop a closed loop feedback mechanism to maintain relevance and maintain the segmentation as a living document
  • Implement insights through the Client Success Organization to guide the go-to-market strategy
  • Complete a comprehensive Client Profile System containing all relevant client data and the core attributes that differentiates one dealer from another
  •  Lead a full Cox Automotive segmentation analysis of our Dealership Clients. Align Segmentation to the Products and Services Cox Automotive offers 
  • Supervise the functions of the Enterprise deals desk and drive thought leadership on setting and refining guardrails
  •  Build out advanced pricing analytics, yield management capabilities to support solution packaging and deal strategies 
  • Create and manage an internal Center of Excellence and external client Advisory Board focused on obtaining insights to fuel initiatives and solution development

  • Success in a startup environment – high energy, quick turns, get-it-done initiative, limited oversight


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent is required; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting/operations role in the automotive retail value chain. Specific experience in  driving business process or systems transformation within dealerships or OEM's/captives 
  • Management experience in a complex organization, with a proven track record of positive results required
  • Management consulting experience preferred – mastered hypotheses based approach, quantitative and analytical approaches, strategic thinker, and influence based on insights and facts
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and influence field and sales organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to convert pricing theory and strategy into strong business plans 
  • Quantitative marketing experience a plus
